Monday, August 12. Today I made a journal by taking an old book cover and putting it back together with blank pages for writing.

Today I had my annual chicken butchering event. We butchered 150 chickens, which will be fried, grilled and made into other delicious meals over the next year. I was going to take a few pictures of the event, buy opted not too because, well I didn’t think anything would be too pleasing. So instead, I took some pictures of the barn, which has seen better days.

Here is a bonus artwork that was created last weekend by my friend Joyce. She called it Beerhenge.

Saturday, August 10. Today I took a few artworks from cards I have picked up promoting art exhibits. I mounted them, coated the front with epoxy and added magnets to the back. Turns any refrigerator into the Louvre Museum.

Friday, August 9. Here is today’s project, the bottom half of the banner I am making to hang on the shop. It’s not 100% completed. I will post a picture of the entire banner on Monday when I hang it.

Thursday, August 8. Today’s project is part 1 of two. I am painting a banner to hang on the side of my shoe repair shop to promote two events coming up in August. The top half that I completed today promotes Art Weekend here in Sheboygan County August 23-25.

Wednesday, August 7. When I took over the Cobbler Shop, there were a lot of small items that we either don’t use anymore or that there is really no call for. So today I took a few of the Tap Shoe taps and some small shoe polish can covers and made refrigerator magnets. Enjoy.
