August 2. Some sketches for a backdrop I am painting that will be in a booth I am having at our county fair. It is going to be in the style of a sideshow. “The Zipper Charmer” for Arnst Zipper Studio and “Heel Head” for my cobbler shop.

Friday, August 1. This is a display case i put together at the shop to organize all the old shoe polish tins and misc. other shoe repair items from the past (The left side of the image is the before). The frame I had. I made the shelves that go into it and put the display together.

Well, here it it is, July 31 and one year of artbunker is over. Was it a succes? No. The year caught up with me and in the past few months, fewer and fewer artworks were completed. I started the year wanting to complete a piece of art daily, a huge task, that became all to evident as the year went on. But tomorrow is another day, and a new year of artbunker, 365 days, 365 pieces of art. Hopefully. The drawing here is something I did while reading Austin Kleon’s book, “Show Your Work”.
